-the Founder
The idea was to take care of my skin. I have naturally good skin, but having good skin doesn't mean that it takes care of itself. I face the same problems that other people do—dry and rough skin in the winters and the occasional bouts of oil in the summers. At the same time, just like everyone else, my skin has its uniqueness. I sweat a lot which meant that applying lotions would be a waste because it would come off with my sweat. When I thought about taking care of my skin, I realized that I did not want to spend thousands of rupees and buy expensive skincare products, nor did I want to waste my time going to parlours.
I started googling about homemade tricks and tips to take care of my skin better and found quite a few ideas and homemade products. Either those homemade products were not up to my expectations and standards, or they were too expensive. You wouldn't want to buy something for 1500-2500 rupees and then realise that it's not what you wanted, would you? It would be a massive waste of money, time and resources and most of all; it would not give you the results that you would expect from such an expensive product.
Then I came across the idea of making homemade soaps. And I thought, why not? Bathing is an everyday ritual that all humans follow. What if I could make a homemade soap for myself that will serve all my needs? I wouldn't need to apply lotions and creams all over myself and have my body sweat it off. I could make a soap that would clean, nourish, and moisturize my skin while taking a bath. Then I realized, being able to control what I can use as ingredients and how much gave me a sense of satisfaction. Anyone will prefer having homemade food over restaurant made food. And an exotic dish prepared at home with care and affection would taste a whole lot better than food made in a restaurant. Not only can you design an exotic dish at home to your liking, but you can also make sure that it's sumptuous, filling, and healthy. I thought, why not apply the same principle to soaps?

This thought became the driving factor behind eight months (2019) of researching and reading. I referred to countless websites, videos, and books. I spent my days researching soaps morning to evening, day after day, every day. It got to a point where I wasn't doing anything or thinking anything other than soaps. As learning is a continuous process, so my research and adventure will never stop.
The result of such intensive research was this: I realized that homemade soaps are not being given to people as an alternative to factory-made soaps in their full potential. I realized that countless people, just like me, didn't want to spend thousands of rupees on skincare products but still want to take care of their skin. Unlike me, countless people face many issues with skincare products but have no choice but to continue using the same products because they have no alternative. I realized that the knowledge I gained through my research could help such people to take care of their skin in a better way by doing just one thing and which they have always been doing every day, i.e. taking a bath. The only difference would be that they can use a soap made at home using human hands and not factory robots, using pure and natural ingredients that won't cause any harm and would only serve to nourish their skin.​
I shared my idea with my cousin Ramnish Bedi (Co-Founder) who liked the idea and believed in it's potential to help people just like me.
And thus,
Rise and Shine… naturally
was born!

Soaps that caters to a wide variety of people represent not only an alternative to factory-made generic soaps but also care, nourish, and have affection for your skin and becomes an occasional slice of luxury that everyone likes to indulge in.
